Our Story
The idea for Wellness x Nature came about when founder of Beyond Basics Physical Therapy, internationally known pelvic floor specialist, and author Amy Stein noticed a real need for natural pain products in the industry. After a couple of her patients inquired about CBD and pain, Amy dug deeper and began learning about how CBD “speaks” to our own endocannabinoid system and may help manage all types of pain and anxiety.
She reached out to her friend and cannabis MD, Dr. Ken Weinberg, who shared Amy’s concern about the over-prescribing of opioids to people suffering from chronic pain. He suggested reaching out to someone he knew at Hudson Valley Hemp Co. - a local, organic hemp farm that firmly believes in sustainable and regenerative farming. After visiting the farm, Amy was convinced that a variety of specially formulated CBD products that she responsibly designed, in conjunction with her guidance and expertise, could further help her patients combat their chronic pain and anxiety.
In addition to this longing to ease pain and the stress that often comes with it, Amy believes strongly in creating a safe space for those suffering to come forward and to feel seen and heard. We hope that the addition of Wellness X Nature promotes healing in this space.
